Coyotes get a win and split the series against Cal State L.A

By: Kaila Morales  The Cal State San Bernardino baseball team gets their first win, winning two out of the four, for a split series against Cal State Los Angeles.  This series was the opening for the CCAA. (California Collegiate Athletes Association)  The Coyotes faced the Eagles for the first match up on Thursday night at Reeder Field. RHP Matthew Moriarty got the start throwing 4 1/3 innings, he had five strikeouts, five walks, and gave up three runs.  An RBI single by Lucas Martinez in the third, put the Coyotes on the board, after trailing by two.  Jordan Simon’s ground out in the fourth which scored Dominic Campeau, tied the Coyotes up at 2-2. The Eagles earned a run in the fifth, resulting in the 3-2 loss for the Coyotes.  CSUSB’s losing streak came to an end on Friday night when they secured a 13-3 win against the Eagles. Super Bowl LI Recap

Which by the way why isn’t it a national holiday yet?  If you weren’t already aware the New England Patriots are your Super Bowl LI champions!  With a final score of 34-28 in OT. Making history as the first Super Bowl game EVER to go into Overtime.  The Patriots are the first team to reach nine Super Bowls, and now hold the record for the most Super Bowl wins in NFL history after getting their fifth Super Bowl victory tonight.  Whether you’re a Patriots fan or not, you know that everyone refers to Tom Brady as the GOAT which if you didn’t know stands for “greatest of all time” and whether you believe that or not, well tonight's game might have you convinced that he might really be the GOAT.  If you’re still wrapped up in the whole deflategate thing, and think that the patriots are cheaters, or just hate the patriots in general, you can’t help but admit that this game was probably the greatest Supe

CSUSB Season Opener 2017

By Kaila Morales | The Cal State San Bernardino Baseball team started their 2017 season off with a four game series against Dixie State Trailblazers.  RHP Jon Ferrendelli got the start on friday for the first game striking out 5 in 5 innings.  The Coyotes were off to a good start in game one with a two run homer by First Basemen Daniel Romo. They were able to hold the lead for most of the game until the Trailblazers tied it at 4-4 in the fifth.  The Coyotes answered back with two more runs in the 5th to regained the lead at 6-4 with a RBI single by Catcher Lucas Martinez, and a double by Third Basemen Nick Grimes scoring Romo and Martinez.  The game ended in favor of the Trailblazers who earned four runs un the seventh, resulting in a final score of 9-6. After being down 11-0 in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader, Catcher/First basemen Dominic Campeau put the Coyotes on the board with an RBI single. Damion Edmonds scored off a single by Grimes
