The Los Angeles Rams welcome new head coach Sean McVay. After going 4-12 this season under head coach Jeff Fisher. Fisher was suddenly fired, after the Rams suffered a blowout loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

As the Los Angeles Rams searched for their new head coach, McVay who was the offensive coordinator for the Washington Redskins for three years stood out.

Rams COO Kevin Demoff says that three priorities had to be met in order to fulfill the position.

They wanted a skilled communicator to reach the players and get them to perform at their best, and to set the tone for the organization.

Someone who was able to play with today’s schemes, and to make sure there is always a competitive edge on the field.

Lastly they wanted their new coach to have an energetic presence, to bring the team to where it needs to be, and to represent the franchise with energy.

“Really from there, once after that first interview we knew we had our guy,” Demoff said.

“Once we met Sean, he would be the perfect fit to lead the Los Angeles Rams,” he added.

At the age of 30, McVay will become the youngest hired head coach in NFL history.

Mcvay began his coaching career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 22 years old, as an assistant wide receivers coach.

In 2010, he became the assistant tight end coach for the Washington Redskins, and was then promoted to offensive coordinator in 2014.

McVay who is very thrilled to accept this position thanked various great coaches and mentors for his success, and for guiding him along the way.

“you get into this coaching profession to help players achieve their highest potential,” he says.

So what does McVay have in store for the Rams ?

He wants to build a team based off of character.

“Our character with be the foundation, and it will be the glue that hold us together as an organization,” McVay says.

He strives to implement a culture where success will be achieved by daily improvement, and daily excellence.

Mentioning that he plans to strongly enforce the “we not me” motto.

General Manger Les Snead has no doubt that McVay will be the best head coach for the Rams.

Addressing the age questions, “his age, the youth will help him relate to the guys,” Snead says.

Feeling satisfied, and confident in their new head coach, the Los Angeles Rams look forward to the upcoming season.

It will be a great challenge, it won’t be easy but I cant wait to go to work, McVay says.
